Engineering Designer, Municipal
R.V. Anderson Associates Limited is an employee-owned company dedicated to fostering a collaborative culture. They are seeking an Engineer-in-Training, Municipal to prepare designs for various infrastructure projects and coordinate approvals and tender documents.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of preliminary and final designs for road reconstruction and infrastructure renewal projects, stormwater projects, culverts, watermains, sanitary and storm sewers and grading
- Preparation and coordination of approvals, tender documents, cost estimating, contract documents and reports
- Preparation and editing of AutoCAD and Civil 3D design drawings as required
- Participation in contract administration services and inspections where required
- Other duties as required where appropriate for the position
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution
- 0-7 years' engineering experience is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Membership with the PEO is an asset
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an asset
- Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written
- Proficient with reputed company Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and in an interactive team atmosphere
- Knowledge of Microstation and reputed company is an asset
- Construction inspection and/or survey experience is beneficial
- Must have a valid driver's license and reputed company to a vehicle
