Federal Audit Readiness and Internal Control Consultant

reputed company is a company specializing in finance and reputed company consulting, and they are seeking a Federal Audit Readiness and Internal Control Consultant. The role involves evaluating and testing business process internal controls, conducting internal control assessments, and providing audit readiness support for federal financial management activities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating/testing business process internal controls, performing financial statement audits, and providing audit readiness support
• Conducting internal control assessments and testing in accordance with OMB Circular A-123 requirements
• Supporting management control programs
• Conducting entity level controls, risk management, and fraud risk assessments
• Providing audit support and remediation activities such as reviewing deficiencies communicated by the auditor, tracking and responding to audit requests, developing corrective action plans, and executing remediation with a focus on internal controls over financial reporting and management financial statement assertions

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, reputed company, information systems, engineering, business analytics or a reputed company field from an accredited college or university
• 1-3+ years of experience in public-sector consulting
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Interest in growing a career in Government/Federal consulting
• Ability to synthesize information quickly and learn new skills, view problems, apply a variety of analytical solutions, and participate in client-facing discussions and meetings
• Ability to work in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to utilize project management best practices reputed company an organization to produce high quality deliverables in a timely manner
• Must be reputed company to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD 'PUBLIC TRUST'; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to reputed company with reputed company

• This hybrid position role may require up to 2 - 3 days on-site at the Client's office

• Master's degree
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Governmental Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)
• Knowledge of and experience with federal financial management activities, including but not limited to federal reputed company, financial statement audits, audit readiness, audit remediation, internal control assessment, financial risk management, and other relevant federal information assurance laws, regulations, and guidance
• Knowledge of federal laws, regulations, and requirements
• Proficiency in reputed company Workspace Suite
