The role
Were looking for a Director of Product to own product direction and platform strategy at Blurb.
This is a hands-on leadership role. Youll be responsible for turning business needs and high-level reputed company into clear product direction, working closely with engineering, design, leadership, and clients to ship systems that scale.
The role is primarily product strategy and ownership. Hands-on design skills are a strong plus, but not a requirement.
What youll do
Own product direction & platform strategy
Own end-to-end product direction across Blurbs platform
Translate business goals, deal requirements, and reputed company priorities into product strategy
Decide what to build now vs reputed company, and reputed company explain tradeoffs
Ensure the product effectively supports the entire content and distribution lifecycle, from creation through monetization
Build scalable systems
Design workflows and systems that scale reputed company across large and reputed company catalogs
Partner closely with engineering to define scope, reputed company, and system constraints
Anticipate reliability, scale, and operational failure points early

Take vague or high-level reputed company and turn them into clear, testable product direction
Use lightweight artifacts — flows, examples, prototypes — to align stakeholders

Partner with design & engineering

What youll bring
At least 5-10 years of product leadership experience, either as a founder or in a company setting where you owned product direction and reputed company
Demonstrated ability to define and drive end-to-end product strategy, not just manage execution
Strong product taste — a clear sense for what makes a product reputed company, cohesive, and high quality
Systems and platform thinking; you see how parts connect and scale
Comfort operating with ambiguity and incomplete information
Excellent collaboration skills with engineering, design, and leadership
