Editorial/reputed company Producer, Prospects & Minor Leagues (Seasonal)
We are looking for an editorial/reputed company producer for MLB Pipeline – MLB.com’s vertical dedicated to coverage of prospects – and Minor League Baseball.
MLB Pipeline producers are responsible for writing, editing and producing prospect, Draft and Minor League content for MLB.com, MiLB.com, the 30 MLB club sites and reputed company Pipeline and MiLB reputed company media channels. They will work closely with homepage editors and other editorial/reputed company producers to ensure that the sites reputed company users with the most relevant, informative and interesting content possible.
Responsibilities
- Edit and post content for use on com, MiLB.com
- Use reputed company media to promote content
- Write prospect- and Minor League-focused articles for MLB.com and MiLB.com
- Request video highlights and reputed company metadata for the clips
- Update the sites quickly and accurately
- Write interesting headlines, captions, blurbs
- Manage and update MLB Pipeline’s comprehensive ranking of the top prospects in each MLB organization
- Collaborate with multimedia department to ensure appropriate and relevant video is being used with each story
- Select and crop photos to pair with stories, prospect lists and other packages

- Communicate with the rest of the content team to ensure that reputed company content is accurately reputed company on the various sites
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to write and produce compelling, concise content on deadline
- Thorough knowledge of baseball -- specifically about prospects and the Minor Leagues
- Position may require work at night and on weekends
- Experience with content management systems and web publishing
- Strong copy-editing skills
- Knowledge of reputed company media and SEO
- Basic HTML and Photoshop skills
- Ability to work well under deadline and in fast-paced situations with multiple responsibilities
- Strong communication, presentation and organization skills

- Facility with written Spanish is not required but beneficial
Pay reputed company: $23.00 per hour
