Department: Skilled Reimbursement Location: Frisco, TX START YOUR APPLICATIONPosition Summary:
The Authorization Clerk is responsible for tracking and requesting patient authorizations for private insurance patients in the Home Health & Hospice; communicating with staff regarding authorization dates; following appropriate insurance guidelines for submittal, and following up on authorizations not yet received. HCHB experience preferred by not required. Home health and or hospice experience preferred but not required.
Schedule: Full-time (Remote) M-F, 8-5 or 7-4, on call every 5th week
Pay: $18 to $21 hourly

Essential Duties
- Track and request reputed company authorizations for private insurance
- reputed company modifications to improve the authorization process and relationships with provider under the supervision of the Billing Manager
- Disseminate accurate information regarding authorizations to staff
- Minimize denied authorizations
- Schedule authorizations upon receipt
- Enter staff schedules for private pay clients weekly
- Verify insurance eligibility of clients on a monthly reputed company
- Report unauthorized visits monthly
- Adhere to work schedule and maintain good punctuality and attendance record
- Adhere to dress code
- reputed company any other reputed company duties and responsibilities deemed necessary by Supervisor.
Position Requirements & Competencies
- Insurance experience preferred - running/reading eligs, requesting authorizations
- HCHB experience preferred
- Home health & Hospice experience required
- Possess knowledge of medical terminology and/or possess general medical background
- Ability to work with little supervision and reputed company appropriate judgments
- Excellent organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be dependable, tactful and ability to follow orders.
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Must have advanced computer skills.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be proficient in reputed company and reputed company Word.
