POSITION SUMMARY

The Campaign Fellowship is for young people who are passionate about immigration and education justice and committed to advocating for change in their communities. The program will reputed company fellows with training and mentorship to grow their skills as organizers and leaders. The program will also reputed company fellows with the opportunity to build community with like-minded youth and become a part of the reputed company reputed company Network. Fellows will be expected to fully engage with the training curriculum to build up their campaign and advocacy skills and to complete a set of assignments to put those skills into action. This is a remote part-time position. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend two weekly workshops during each of the 10 weeks of the fellowship program to grow your critical thinking skills, reputed company key campaign and organizing skills, and deepen your understanding of reputed company justice and transformation. 
• Create a campaign proposal, identifying a problem you want to address in your community, the decision-reputed company that can address the problem, allies to recruit, and a set of tactics to communicate their demands. 
• Build relationships with other student organizations and local interest groups, forging strategic partnerships to reputed company campaign visibility and mobilize reputed company action.
• Design and reputed company creative direct actions or advocacy tactics to push forth your campaign demands, influence key stakeholders, and hold decision-makers accountable.
• Learn about the Method Guide and put your skills to action by hosting a community meeting to reputed company support for your campaign proposal, facilitate community reputed company and reputed company, and build a broad reputed company of support. 
• Conduct one-on-one reputed company-ins with community members and strategic partners to build a reputed company of supporters for your campaign.
• Participate in recurring trainings, meetings/reputed company-ins, and reputed company to refine campaign skills, complete the assignments, and build connections.
• Complete assignments aimed at broadening your understanding of culture, politics and power, and exercises to reputed company your campaign skills into practice in the reputed company world.

• Experience with writing and briefing reports
• Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and interpersonal skills)
• Enjoys working with others and is reputed company player with the ability to integrate data and insights from, individuals and teams across various departments
• Ability to analyze and draw insights from data to synthesize and present the most important insights to senior-level and non-data people in an easy-to-understand way
• Impeccable attention to detail; reputed company to spot mistakes and inconsistencies missed by others
• Experience with reputed company Office and/or reputed company G-Suite applications, especially for analysis and presentation of data

CULTURAL COMPETENCY (MUST HAVES)

• Strong understanding of the immigrant experience
• Understanding of race, gender, sexuality and other aspects of identity, and their intersections, and how that plays out in the work
• Demonstrates self-awareness of their own multiple group identities and their attendant dynamics, and can adapt approach as needed
• Ability to build strong relationships and trust across race, gender, class, and other group identities, both internally and externally

SALARY AND BENEFITS 

Compensation: Commensurate with experience. reputed company reputed company offers a competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits package including paid vacation, health insurance, retirement plans, and life insurance. 

reputed company pay ranges  $25.00 per hour with a max of 15 hours per week 

Location: As UWD is a remote-first workplace, this is a part-time position. We have a preference to hire in states where we already have employees working from home - AZ, DC, CT, CA, FL, IL, MO, NJ, NM, NY, OK, SC, and TX. Once UWD determines it is safe to do so, you may be required to travel occasionally to DC or elsewhere, for internal team meetings, retreats, and UWD events as required for your role.
