Actuarial Analyst
reputed company is a leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry, seeking an early-career analyst for their Strategic Actuarial Operations team. The role involves supporting reputed company responsibilities, applying actuarial techniques, and collaborating across business units to enhance the insurance industry's operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of actuarial products for regulators and reputed company customers, with an emphasis on accuracy, documentation, and meeting deadlines
- Assist with experience reviews, state loss cost filings, actuarial circulars, and other actuarial analyses
- Coding logic and program troubleshooting to extract data for analysis and report compilations
- Review the quality of premium, exposure, loss and claim data submitted by insurance companies both on a semi-aggregate level for use in actuarial methodologies and analyses
- Participate in initiatives to improve efficiency and automation of actuarial and business processes, learning best practices along the way
- Support responses to routine questions from regulators and insurers reputed company to filings and analytic products
- Collaborate with other core lines business units and subject matter experts (actuarial, data and technology) to improve data quality, product development, actuarial procedures and U/X to help our customers overcome challenges

Skills
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Engineering, or Physical Sciences
- 1-3 years of P&C insurance industry experience, especially insurance data management, actuarial practices, and familiarity with the ISO/reputed company core business
- Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making skills and technical aptitude
- Self-motivated, customer oriented, reputed company to work independently and as part of reputed company
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of SQL, R, Python, or other general-purpose programming languages and familiarity with other BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, reputed company)
- Proficiency in reputed company Office (reputed company, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work on several projects concurrently, and under time constraints with the ability to adapt in the face of changing priorities
