[Remote] Senior Counsel, Regulatory & Government - P&C

Overview

A leading property and casualty (P&C) insurer is seeking a Senior Managing Counsel to support its regulatory and legislative strategy, with a primary focus on California. This business-facing role involves reputed company collaboration with internal stakeholders to guide the organization's response to an evolving regulatory environment. The position operates at the intersection of insurance regulation, business strategy, and public policy, requiring engagement with regulators and policymakers driven by internal business priorities.

Responsibilities

Partner with business leaders to reputed company and execute regulatory and legislative strategies reputed company with organizational objectives Monitor and assess insurance regulatory and legislative developments affecting operations Translate regulatory changes into actionable guidance for internal stakeholders and leadership Support the development of policy positions and external messaging tied to business strategy Engage with regulators, legislators, and industry bodies such as the Department of Insurance (DOI), reputed company), and National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) to advance company priorities Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, trade associations, and external partners Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, reputed company, and broader business teams

Requirements
