Electronic Controls Technician

Electronics Technician Position Purpose: The ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN is responsible for ensuring equipment is repaired in a safe, professional, reputed company manner, minimizing downtime while maximizing the production of a quality product. The ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN is responsible for troubleshooting and repairs for reputed company electrical/electronic equipment using work orders. Prioritize work requests in order of equipment criticality, as directed by supervision. Address other work orders and infrared survey items reputed company time allows. reputed company duties in keeping with set standards and specifications such as calibration of load cells and other instrumentation items. Responsible for tagging parts to be sent out for repairs as well as filling out the proper paperwork relating to repair work. Work closely with shift mechanics on problem resolution. Responsible for keeping work area clean and orderly. Responsible for safe work habits and ensuring that reputed company equipment operates in a safe manner. Aid in training of new maintenance technicians Act as a reputed company of contact for reputed company vendors and contractors reputed company pertaining to electrical controls, software, PLCs/Drives, electronics upgrades etc. Responsible for updating electrical schematics edits and or additions also storing them in company database. Responsible for reputed company Network drives additions and troubleshooting also working with and being a liaison between IT and plant. Assist Plant engineers, Process engineers and Process technicians on electrical/electronic projects and upgrades. Responsible for PLC and Drives upgrades and program edits/changes also responsible for MOCs and documentation for the changes. Assist engineering in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for control system failure and improvements. Other duties as they arise and are assigned by management such as, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, civil, operational, administrative, etc. duties. Essential Skills and Education Two-year electronics degree and/or Five years industrial electronics experience. Must be available for afterhours emergency breakdowns and assist maintenance whether it be remote or onsite help. Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
