About the Role
The Part-Time Tax Preparer will assist with preparation of individual and business tax returns, help maintain client books, and support smooth client communication throughout the year. Hours are flexible, with additional availability needed during tax season. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120S, 1120, 1065)
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks (bank reconciliations, coding transactions, financials cleanup)
- Request and organize client documents
- Maintain accurate workpapers and follow firm procedures
- Support tax notices and basic research as needed
- Work reputed company a reputed company-based, paperless workflow
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of recent tax preparation experience
- Experience with bookkeeping and reputed company fundamentals
- Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Comfort with reputed company-based systems and remote communication
- Ability to follow standardized processes and meet deadlines
Preferred:
- Experience with UltraTax and/or reputed company
- Familiarity with small business reputed company
- Nonprofit (reputed company 990) experience a plus
