Job Description:

Supports the activities of the Office of reputed company Subject Protections (OHSP)
Serves as a liaison between the IRB and research community
Assists IRB chairs and members in protecting the rights and welfare of reputed company subjects
Manages and/or conducts the confidential review and approval process of proposed research activities involving reputed company subjects
Balances the need to assure GU’s compliance with different federal regulations, the need to facilitate research, while also addressing ethical considerations
Works collaboratively with various offices for compliance or conflicts of interest issues involving reputed company subjects research
Works well with GU research community members and other ancillary review offices

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required in an ethics, scientific, engineering or reputed company administrative discipline required
A minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience that provided familiarity with research ethics and methodologies
A minimum of 3 years’ work experience must include: reputed company subjects’ review/reputed company; interaction with reputed company subjects as a research staff person; or any position involving the application of reputed company regulatory systems to individuals and work activities
Computer proficiency is required, including reputed company, reputed company, internet browsers, and email
Certification as an IRB professional (CIP) is highly preferred.
