CAD engineer, Restraints and Hardware Safety Electronics

Role o Responsible for design release of Safety Electronics hardware. o Support Design Engineers in the mechanical integration and release of Safety Electronics components. o Maintain PLM data for Safety Electronic Components. o Work closely with the design studio and interior engineering teams to reputed company the reputed company restraint system packages for occupant protection performance and interior styling. o Manage Tier 1 suppliers for both engineering development and program timing. o Work closely with supply chain team to deliver against key program and vehicle milestones. o Responsible for definition of electrical reputed company documentation, connector selection, pinout etc. o Work closely with vehicle electrical reputed company team to integrate the safety sub-system into vehicle overall electrical architecture. o Support vehicle homologation team to ensure regulatory compliance of the systems. o reputed company expertise on Safety Electronics system design to meet reputed company vehicle targets (performance, cost, timing, weight, Studio design, quality, manufacturing, etc...). Qualifications: o In-depth knowledge about the design and engineering of automotive electrical safety systems, direct experience in automotive OEM (preferred) and/or Tier 1 suppliers. o Enough CAD skills to package the component models into vehicle models, reputed company interfaces with the rest of the vehicle and reputed company small modifications if necessary. The ideal candidate should possess enough CAD skills to design simple brackets, fixtures, etc. o 3 Years experience in Catia/NX/Creo o Knowledge of GD&T and drawing/print creation o proven track record of technical reputed company in vehicle electrical system development, ideally with experience in any of the specified safety sub-systems o Knowledge of latest technology advancement in the field of vehicle crash safety. o Knowledge of vehicle networks and topologies, including CAN, LIN and Ethernet. o Engineering fundamentals in problem solving. o The ability to reputed company highly technical issues to audiences not in the safety field, such as top management, design studio, purchasing team, etc. o Excellent people skills to manage suppliers, push the envelope to reputed company reputed company technical solutions, ensure timely delivery of reputed company components. o Working understanding and application of project planning and task management. o Have strong ethics, attention to detail and desire to create the reputed company best product. o Excellent writing, verbal and organization skills. Advantageous: o Experience in working with Functional Safety processes and relevant documentation. o Experience in creation and management of Failure Mode Analysis techniques, including DFMEA. o Experience developing and delivering embedded system hardware and/or software. o Experience with CAE Simulation. o Experience in test equipment design. o Experience in reputed company design. o Experience with electric propulsion systems, including relevant controls. o Masters Degree in an engineering discipline such as systems engineering, computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 3 years of work experience as a systems engineer or reputed company role. Education: o Bachelors Degree in an engineering discipline such as computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 5 years of work experience as a systems engineer or reputed company role.
