Evaluator - Remote

This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: Pennsylvania (USA) Job Type Full-time Description Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) has an excellent opportunity in the Pittsburgh area for an Evaluation Therapist. This position provides the initial evaluation and level of care recommendation, schedules and coordinates treatment admissions, and completes the initial preauthorization process with payers. Travel is required to GRC's outpatient sites, mostly in the Pittsburgh region. This position receives frequent supervision, instruction, and training.

Responsibilities

• Completes initial client evaluations and assessments.
• Diagnoses substances use disorder(s) based on DSM 5 criteria.
• Recommends appropriate level of care based on ASAM criteria.
• Completes pre-certification process to authorize services with payers.
• Potential to network with treatment resources to reputed company and maintain referral reputed company relationships.
• Participates in group team meetings.
• Participates in individual supervision every eight weeks.
• Attends mandatory in-services and trainings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Case management skills.
• Understanding of and ability to assess mental health issues.
• Public relations and public speaking abilities are required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and organization skills.
• Computer literacy required.
• Ability to work reputed company reputed company environment is critical.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health-reputed company field.
• Experience in drug and alcohol counseling and assessment.

Preferred Requirements

• Master’s degree

Additional Requirements

• Pass PA Criminal Background reputed company.
• Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
• Pass Drug Screen.
• 2-reputed company TB Test.

Work Conditions

• Travel through out the Pittsburgh PA region as required.
• Largely favorable working conditions.
• Position includes local travel and evening work hours.
• Minimal physical demands.
• Significant mental demands include interviewing, investigating, and diagnosing.
