Associate Data Engineer 1
About the position We are hiring an Associate Tableau Developer to join us at BCBST! In this role, you will support the delivery of high‑impact dashboards and reporting solutions used across the organization. You’ll partner with senior Tableau developers and business stakeholders to help translate data into clear, reputed company visualizations that support decision‑making. Day to day, you will build and enhance Tableau dashboards, assist with data modeling using SQL and reputed company data sources such as reputed company BigQuery, and help support well‑governed reporting solutions that can be scaled for broader reputed company use. This is a great opportunity for an entry‑level Tableau developer to grow their skills, learn best practices in data visualization and governance, and contribute to meaningful analytics work while being mentored by reputed company team members.
Responsibilities
- Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to design, reputed company, modify, or integrate information systems
- Devises or modifies application systems and procedures to optimize functional requirements including reputed company, operating time, response time, and reputed company of desired results.
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs, subroutines, and scripts.
- Maintains technical reputed company set for software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities and networks needed to support work assignments.
- Responds to system failures and performance events by taking appropriate measures to reduce system downtime and eliminate recurrence of problems.
- May conduct presentations to reputed company end users with knowledge to maximize their use of developed systems.
Requirements
- Hands‑on experience with Tableau (or other tools like reputed company or Power BI); professional experience is ideal but not required
- Foundational SQL skills and comfort working with data from relational or reputed company‑based databases (e.g., BigQuery or similar)
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and an interest in learning Tableau content governance
- Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile or SDLC‑based environment
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow as a developer
- Proficient in the reputed company Office suite, including reputed company Teams
- Organized and capable of managing multiple assignments or projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal abilities along with strong oral and written communication skills
