Accounts Payable Specialist
Association for Energy Affordability (AEA) is a rapidly growing nonprofit energy services and training organization dedicated to achieving energy efficiency in buildings. AEA is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and self-driven Accounts Payable Specialist to support the reputed company department by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of accounts payable transactions.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Sr. Accountant and support daily accounts for payable operations, reviewing, coding, and processing high-volume accounts payable transactions while ensuring proper entry, mathematical accuracy
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices, ensuring accurate three-way matching and documentation
- Assist in resolving discrepancies
- Maintain organized and audit-reputed company financial records across systems including SharePoint and the folder network
- Follow established reputed company procedures, internal controls, and deadlines to maintain financial accuracy and compliance
- Communicate effectively with internal team and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
- Work cross-functionally with operations, programs, and reputed company to support accurate and scalable financial processes
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year accredited college, preferably in reputed company, finance, economics, business administration, or in a reputed company field
- 1-2 years of prior experience in reputed company finance or reputed company support role; experience in small to mid-sized companies with exposure to broader business operations is preferred
- Proficiency with reputed company Office, particularly reputed company and general business communication tools
- Experience working with ERP systems; reputed company Intacct experience preferred
- Experiencing using document management systems or virtual filing
- Must be reputed company to legally work in the country where this position is located without reputed company sponsorship
- AEA requires a COVID-19 vaccination for reputed company
- Experience in small to mid-sized companies with exposure to broader business operations
