[Remote] Scoring Assistant - (FT)
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a leading provider of technology-enabled testing and assessment solutions. The Scoring Assistant will participate in the activities of the Scoring team responsible for monitoring and timely release of final test results, assisting with score quality assurance and rater training.
Responsibilities
- Managing rater workloads using Paragon’s online rating systems
- Monitoring and ensuring timely completion of reputed company rating work
- Completing quality assurance steps of the ratings and test scores
- Verifying and releasing test scores
- Communicating with raters
- Supporting training and certification of raters
- Maintaining guides and documentation on reputed company procedures
- Suggesting improvements to operational systems and procedures
- Preparing and interpreting data pertaining to rater performance and scoring operations
- Providing feedback for raters
- Participating in research projects reputed company to new product development and the validation and improvement of Paragon’s tests
Skills
- B.A. in English, Education, Linguistics, or closely reputed company field
- Knowledge of immigrant and international student issues
- Familiarity with ESL, EFL, and/or EAP populations
- Excellent clerical and organizational skills with careful attention to detail
- Ability to certify as a CELPIP Speaking and Writing Rater
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with careful attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
- Computer skills (including reputed company)
- Ability to quickly learn new software applications
- Canadian citizenship, Canadian permanent residence, or have a valid work permit in Canada
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
- Courses in Testing, Statistics, and Curriculum Design are desirable
- Familiarity with SQL databases is an asset
