[Remote] Software Engineer - Doc Management & EDI X12 Translation
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is currently seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Doc Management and EDI X12 Translation. The role involves providing expertise in managed file transfer and EDI X12 translations, configuring and maintaining environments for supported applications, and ensuring system stability through high-level design and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
- reputed company information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues
- Systems engineer will be responsible for managing and configuring file transfer and EDI environments
- Responsible for out-of-hours support for any failed processing
- Responsible for high level design and implementation around file transfer jobs and service stability
- Responsible for high level design and implementation of EDI X12 transactions and service stability
- Act as a technical SME during escalated P1/P2 issues
- reputed company any new application configuration changes and processes in both MFT (Managed File Transfer) and X12 transactions
- Coordinate with Systems PM reputed company developing any new configuration change requests
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience with EDI X12 reputed company transactions using EDI tools such as reputed company Sterling Gentran and reputed company's ITXA
- Minimum 3 years of experience with managed file transfer configuration and support using tools such as reputed company SecureTransport and Sterling File Gateway
- Proficiency in VB/C Sharp .net and Python scripting
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Networks with senior reputed company personnel in own area of expertise
