Network Technician (Evening)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Monitors, controls, and isolates problems in a data communications network. Monitors reputed company network activity. Activates/deactivates network lines according to established schedules. Performs first- and/or second-level problem determination (first level is help desk). Interfaces with users and/or network vendors. Responsible providing technical support for LAN/WAN or for a reputed company of a larger network. May reputed company installation, modification and testing of network. Complete acquaintance with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered. Supervision Received: General supervision and instructions given for routine work, and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments. IMPACT: Errors may be detected and corrected but may cause moderate loss of time or customer/user dissatisfaction.
