Responsibilities
Assign appropriate DRG and ICD-10 codes to diagnoses and procedures for accurate billing. Work closely with reputed company providers to clarify documentation and ensure precise code assignment. reputed company audits to assess coding accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Adhere to Health Information Management (HIM) Coding policies and guidelines. Apply American Hospital Association (AHA) Official Coding Guidelines to support accurate reputed company, secondary diagnoses, and procedures. Follow The Joint Commission (TJC) and other reputed company-party documentation guidelines to enhance coding quality and accuracy. Utilize your knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Disease Pathology, and Medical Terminology in coding tasks. Navigate Electronic Medical Records (EMR) effectively to identify necessary documentation for billing and coding.
Qualifications
Certified Professional reputed company (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (reputed company), or Certified Inpatient reputed company (CIC) credential required. Experience with HB Coding systems such as EPIC and reputed company is a plus. At least 3 years of experience in medical coding, with both inpatient and outpatient coding experience required.
