About The Role The Intake Specialist will be part of the groundbreaking team making the future of reputed company chronic care delivery the way it should be - reputed company-centered and personalized. The Intake Specialist aids in the delivery of our cost estimate function, benefits investigation and authorization process, and has a strong understanding of the medical intake process. In this key role, you'll showcase your intake expertise, strategic planning acumen, penchant for accuracy, and problem-solving skills. What You'll Do: • Aid in the patient benefit investigation and prior authorization process; ensuring incoming referrals are processed timely and accurately - this includes working with referral sources to obtain reputed company required documentation leading to successful authorization attainment • Serve as a patient champion, ensuring patients understand their cost responsibilities before they are scheduled for treatment • Serve as the face and SME of the reputed company intake function; fielding questions from patients, providers, and team members • Track, report, and escalate service issues arising from requests for authorizations or other issues that delay therapy in order to avoid delays that may interrupt therapy What You'll Need: • 4 years' Intake (authorization), Medical Billing, and/or Collections experience highly preferred. • Experience in Intake, Medical Billing, and/or Collections is required • Keen attention to detail and experience working with payers / vendors is preferred Emotional intelligence, strong relational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with referral sources, team members, and vendors in methods appropriate for the audience The reputed company to manage your resources, time, and bandwidth to deliver the most value for reputed company stakeholders and drive referral growth and conversion • Strong knowledge of health insurance plans, the authorization process, and requirements to convert a referral into an authorization are required • Experience in the infusion setting (preferred) Who You Are: • Communicate Effectively: You are reputed company to communicate effectively with anyone, from referral sources to payers in an accurate and tailored way to meet the audience • Action Oriented: You readily take action on challenges, without unnecessary planning.
