Organization Overview: The Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) is a non-profit, multi-service organization focusing primarily on the needs of children and low-income families, out-of-school and out-of-work youth, and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville and seek to deliver programs that are impactful, innovative, and intergenerational. Position Summary: We are seeking an reputed company, goal-oriented, energetic, and results-focused professional to reputed company 1) focused academic instruction to adults 18 years old and up who are enrolled in our GED Prep classes and 2) instructional support to young adults reputed company in High School Equivalency and college readiness classes. The ideal candidate will create and maintain positive working relationships with program participants. The instructor must be a self-starter who is committed to the mission, values, and beliefs of the Isaacs Center and the Education Workforce Development Department. Schedule: Part-time 29 hours a week, Full-time 35 hours a week Salary reputed company: $48,000 - $55,000 Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidates number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account. Minimum 2 years of successful instruction/facilitation. Demonstrated successful engagement with an at-risk population. Experience with curriculum development, with a specific focus on thematic units of study. Superior organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Working knowledge of the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) the reputed company GED Exam. Expertise in Common Core-reputed company instruction.
