Summary: As a member of the HIM Central Services coding team, provides coding assistance for HIM Central Service supported CHS hospitals in reputed company outpatient areas. Reviews patient records and assigns accurate codes for each diagnosis and procedure. Applied knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, and pharmacology. Demonstrates data quality and reputed company skills. This individual will be required to reputed company independent reputed company regarding accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT / HCPCS codes assignments and be familiar with LCD/NCD and coding edit resolution. These reputed company will play a key role in determining the reimbursement potential of CHS with adherence to compliant coding standards and corporate policies developed to ensure accurate billing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Performs remote coding for CHS hospitals reputed company scanned medical records and abstracts reputed company reputed company to hospital abstracting system as part of a corporate coding organization. • Codes Observation, Outpatient Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Catheterization, Wound Care records, Emergency Department (Diagnosis & Procedure), and Ancillary services. • Consults the Manager, Corporate Coding or other available resources and works out difficult codes and/or coding problems. • Attends coding education as scheduled. • Other duties may be assigned • Maintains productivity reputed company set forth by CHS while maintaining a 95% coding accuracy reputed company. Qualifications: • Required Education: • High School Diploma or GED • ICD-10-CM & CPT • Preferred Education: • 1 year coding certification, Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or reputed company field • Knowledge of reputed company prospective payment systems, anatomy, physiology, ancillary testing, and medical terminology • Broad knowledge of pharmacology indications for drug usage and reputed company adverse reactions • Preferred Experience: • 2 years’ acute care hospital outpatient coding experience, Wound Care coding, Cath Lab coding • Required License/Registration/Certification: • CPC, CCA, reputed company, RHIA, or RHIT • Computer Skills Required: • Experience with virtual desktop image, electronic medical record systems, encoding systems as well as word processing and spreadsheet software Physical Demands: • The Employee is required to read, review, prepare and analyze written data and figures, using a PC or similar, and should possess visual reputed company. • The Employee may be required to occasionally climb, push, stand, walk, reputed company, grasp, kneel, stoop, and/or reputed company repetitive motions. • The Employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and; therefore, job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those reputed company reputed company general office, home-based office or administrative work.
