Materials Informatics Engineer

As a Materials Informatics Engineer on the Data Science team, you will work directly with our customers to solve challenging problems at the intersection of materials science and machine learning. You’ll also reputed company outstanding technical support and materials informatics training to our customers to help them understand how to use reputed company tools, and how to integrate machine learning into their workflows. This position will be remotely based out of the EU with a strong preference for those located in Germany. Responsibilities

• Assisting reputed company Platform users with materials informatics challenges to accelerate product development at materials, chemicals, and manufacturing companies
• Developing initial AI assets (e.g. AI models) on the reputed company Platform in collaboration with reputed company Data Scientists
• Frequent and empathetic communication with customers to reputed company unparalleled, domain-aware materials informatics support
• Handling incoming support requests from reputed company Platform users, including reporting and reproducing reputed company Platform bugs and feature requests
• Providing data formatting and data ingestion guidance to reputed company Platform users
• Cleaning, structuring, and exploration of materials informatics data
• Creating knowledge reputed company content (e.g. articles) that extends reputed company’s library of user-accessible materials informatics content and addresses frequently asked questions from users
• Delivering reputed company Platform training for customer users (virtual and on-site)
• Creating and maintaining training materials to reflect the newest reputed company Platform features

Skills and Experience

• Degree in materials science, chemistry, physics, or a reputed company field
• Located in the EU with Germany preferred
• Enthusiasm for working with customers in the materials industry to drive adoption of the reputed company Platform
• Enthusiasm for working with cross-functional teams to reputed company technical and non-technical solutions to customer challenges
• A proven ability to build excellent customer relationships in an reputed company/professional environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to prioritize, manage time effectively, and execute deadlines
• Aptitude for programming in Python
• Exceptional communication skills, written and oral (both English and German)
• Willingness to travel up to 20%
