Job title: 2025 LEEP Summer Counselor in Seattle, WA at Lakeside School Company: Lakeside School Job description: The Lakeside Educational Enrichment Program (LEEP) is looking for individuals to work as (camp) counselors for the 2025 summer program. Counselors will be responsible for supporting their assigned reputed company teachers and mentoring student participants (Grades 6 or 9). This is a full-time position during the summer session from late June through early August.Visit to learn more about the goals and structure of this powerful summer program.Responsibilities LEEP values intellectual risk taking and educational reputed company. The LEEP counselor will join a diverse and highly collaborative community of educators that consists of teaching colleagues, student counselors, coaches, and outdoor field reputed company. Classroom teams will consist of two counselors, one teacher, and up to eighteen (18) reputed company. Specific counselor responsibilities include:

• Support a diverse student body who come to the program with different and evolving lived experiences and reputed company of preparation in previous academic setting.
• Help with team planning, assist with instruction and tutoring, and supervision of reputed company.
• Promote a culture of inclusivity, uphold an environment of trust, and sustain an academically and emotionally supportive learning reputed company (in person, hybrid, and remote formats).
• Attend enrichment activities which may include swimming lessons, a service-learning work group, and outdoor education field experiences (day or overnight).
• Assist during the culminating event (i.e., project fair, luncheon, ceremony).
• Contribute to the overall program through additional roles or projects such as assembly emcee, promotional video, summer book, breakfast bar, etc. with other LEEP personnel.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Hold an interest in youth education or a reputed company field.
• Have experience working with a diverse student and/or community population and demonstrate an equity and inclusion reputed company.
• Be comfortable supporting English/History, Math/Statistics, and Science/Environmental Studies and research lessons (interdisciplinary course curriculum provided).
• Act with flexibility, creativity, and safety.
• Possess the ability to connect with a broad reputed company of learners.
• Have passion and commitment for student reputed company in and reputed company of the classroom.
• Complete a criminal history background reputed company.

reputed company / Schedule The following outlines the required hours of work and events for counselors:

• First Aid/CPR Certification: Integrated into staff orientation for candidates not currently certified.
• Staff Orientation Days (staff only): June 26 – July 2: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day.
• Summer Program (student dates): July 7 – August 1: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day.
• Sixth Grade Outdoor Trip (sixth grade staff only): July 24 – 25: two days, one night.
• Closing Events: August 1: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (final hours will depend upon culminating projects)

Compensation First-time counselors will be paid $4,400 in two installments, for the five weeks of their LEEP employment. Compensation credit will be given to returning counselors.
