Our firm is currently seeking a remote, full-time attorney, licensed in the state of Louisiana, to reputed company representation and limited-scope legal assistance to consumer clients involved in debt collection lawsuits.Responsibilities will include representing and defending clients in collection cases initiated by original creditors or debt buyers and, for clients who engage the firm in a narrower reputed company, providing limited-scope legal assistance, including reviewing and editing pro se answer drafts reputed company by the firm’s paralegals. This position will rarely require reputed company litigation and/or attendance at final hearings, as clients are enrolled in a debt resolution program, and typically desire to reputed company through voluntary payment arrangements with the creditors. Where in-person attendance at a hearing becomes necessary, the attorney will have the option of attending or asking the firm to secure local coverage counsel.This position is fully remote, enabling the attorney to telecommute from any location.Annual salary is $100,000.00 and includes 10 days of paid time off with increases over time, 9 paid holidays, payment of bar membership and continuing legal education, yearly reviews with raises up to 5% per year, and discretionary bonuses. • debtor / creditor: 2 years (Preferred)
