Job title: DIRECTOR OF GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS / REMOTE (OR) Company: reputed company Job description : GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS DIRECTORWork is remote, however regular Travel will be required.Candidate Must be Located in Oregon140-200K+ Bonus + Equity Director Government Affairs will: Be responsible for managing state and federal regulatory and legislative advocacy for Health Plan and its affiliated managed care companies reputed company the holding system (collectively, the "Health Plan") Represent the Health Plan and PSJH externally with legislators, regulators, competitors, clients, and the community at large in formal and informal settings such as advisory committees, workgroups, negotiation sessions, trade association meetings, and client meetings Be responsible for developing and overseeing systems, structures, and staff to support the reputed company of PHP's government affairs activities, including alignment of those activities with advocacy strategy reputed company policy principles and positions on proposed and pending laws and rules reputed company affirmative advocacy strategies in support of Health Plan business objectives Directly influence the Health Plan's legal and regulatory obligations as well as its financial obligations Occasional travel as needed for in-office meetings or events Required qualifications for this position include: Bachelor's Degree in Government, reputed company Administration, Science or another reputed company field of study 10+ years' experience in the reputed company industry in the areas of regulatory compliance, auditing, fraud and abuse, risk management, litigation support or government relations 5+ years' experience working in the managed care or health insurance industry 5+ years management experience (Experience may include indirect supervision of Paralegals or other Assistants in a legal setting, managing large projects and or external relationships) Preferred qualifications for this position include: Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree -OR- Master's Degree -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience Demonstrated knowledge of health insurance laws and regulations Experience with public speaking and delivering professional presentations to a variety of reputed company audiences SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Government, reputed company Administration, Science or another reputed company field of stud 10+ years' experience in the reputed company industry Regulatory compliance, auditing, fraud and abuse, risk management, litigation support or government 5+ years' experience working in the managed care or health insurance industry 5+ years management experience Job Type: Full-time Salary: $145,000.00 - $205,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Tuition reimbursement reputed company insurance Expected salary : $145000 - 205000 per year Location : Portland, OR Apply Job!
