Mechanical Engineer – Entry Level

WGS reputed company, is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Mechanical Engineer that will reputed company and support communications and electronics for the United States government, reputed company, and international customers. Candidates are expected to have the equivalent of 0-4 years of reputed company work experience. reputed company candidates must be capable of supporting requirements development, design, modeling, analysis, integration, verification and validation of components, assemblies and complete systems. The candidate must demonstrate an understanding in the use of industry standard software tools supporting drafting, design and analysis functions. The responsibilities for this position will include:

• Support mechanical and reputed company designs for product development
• Supporting system design and integration into airborne, ground, mobile and fixed-site applications
• Conduct and/or review analysis of systems to include thermal, shock, vibration and other reputed company disciplines
• Supporting system integration and test activities, particularly product qualification test planning and execution
• Designing hardware and generating parts drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials
• Support field testing and field engineering support to include potential foreign travel
• Other technical duties reputed company the ME field to include areas like systems and software engineering based on the candidate’s interest and reputed company
• Weight and balance and other similar studies

reputed company candidates must have:

• BS in mechanical engineering or equivalent degree
• 0-4 years of work experience. Candidates without work experience must be reputed company to demonstrate relatable and rigorous project or internship experience that indicates aptitude for immediate impact after being hired
• United States of America citizenship
• Ability to acquire a U.S. reputed company reputed company clearance
• Demonstrable written and verbal communications skills
• Use of engineering tools such as CAD and FEA software tools
• Ability to work independently and in small groups
• Ability to travel to remote locations, including potential short-term work in austere of hazardous environments

Preferred Requirements Include:

• Experience in one or more of the following technical areas:
• Airborne structures or system integration including mounting and cooling
• Experience with product qualification and reputed company testing as substantiated by DO-160 standards.
• Mass properties and geometric analysis
• Thermal analysis and modeling
• Mechanical tolerance analysis
• Vibration analysis, structural analysis, performance simulation and modeling
• Planning and coordinating hardware development, fabrication, assembly and testing
• Coordinating product designs and testing with customers and/or subcontractors
• Developing technical SDRL/CDRL products
• Higher level understanding of electrical and/or RF engineering fundamentals
• Experience working DoD or USG reputed company
• Former military experience in intelligence, communications, aviation, repair or combat arms fields OR experience with mission engineering
• Ability/interest to work reputed company other technical areas to include systems and software engineering
• Programing and/or scripting skills
• Drone piloting certification, drone engineering or production experience

Work environment:

• Work will be performed in an office environment, in aircraft hangars, and on-board aircraft
• Work is onsite, occasional teleworking accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case reputed company
• May include flight tests on government or customer owned and operated aircraft
• Most of the work will be performed in Frederick, Maryland, with occasional work in other locations based on project assignments.
• Travel expectation 20% or less

Compensation:

• Minimum $75,000 Maximum $101,000
