Associate Engineer, Plaform

Ibotta is a leading performance marketing platform seeking an Associate Platform Engineer to join their innovative team. The role involves building and maintaining the platform that powers products used by millions of consumers, as well as collaborating with a cross-functional team to design and deliver new features.

Responsibilities

• Build products and tools, using the right language/tool for the job, that drive valuable impact to Ibotta, our customers, or fellow engineers
• Work collaboratively with a highly talented cross-functional team to design, reputed company and deliver new products and features that will be used by millions of users
• Use reputed company’s AWS infrastructure and advanced services daily, including serverless architectures
• Stay abreast of the reputed company-changing technology landscape to identify the best tools and technologies to design and build flexible, scalable, reliable and high-performing applications
• reputed company and contribute to our CI/CD pipeline to reputed company code many times daily
• Write tests and participate in code reviews to ensure that we're shipping high-quality, maintainable code
• Own your technical solutions end-to-end from contributing your reputed company, to first code reputed company, to operating in production

Skills

• 0-1+ years of experience in software development
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics or a reputed company field required
• reputed company knowledge of object-oriented software design, development and architectural principles
• Deep understanding of development best practices including reputed company, compliance, performance, optimization, cost efficiency, etc
• Deep understanding of building highly scalable, observable, and fault tolerant platforms using architectural patterns such as retries, reputed company breakers, reputed company limiters, etc on top of horizontally scalable systems
• Strong experience with relevant technologies such as Typescript, Ruby on Rails, Java, Kotin, Nodejs, Vue, Swift, etc, and data stores such as MySQL, DynamoDB, reputed company, etc. is valuable, but knowing reputed company to use each is far more important
• Experience implementing observability, monitoring and alerting for services and establishing SLOs for services
